A Good Society – How can we build it together?

A Good Society – How can we build it together?

In October last year we held an event in Inverness entitled :

A Good Society – How can we build it together?

This  was attended by people from a variety of backgrounds and faiths and provided an opportunity to find out what was already happening and how we might work together to build stronger communities.

One of the themes that emerged from the group discussions was the concern about isolation and the ways this might be addressed.  The importance of belonging, listening to other people’s stories, embracing difference, providing hospitality and food were all linked to this theme.

The Next event is on;

Saturday 19th March from 11am-1pm at St John’s Hall 8 Southside Road Inverness.

 The event will be on how to build on the discussions begun in October.  We would be glad to hear of any new developments since then and plan to have a similar format – with a few people beginning by telling us about their experience then breaking into groups to discuss what practical steps we can take to progress the ideas put forward.

The title for the morning will be:

 Community not Isolation.

 We hope very much that you will be able to come along – whether you attended the last event or not.  Please note the date and further details will be sent nearer the time.
