Day of Prayer to Highlight the Plight of Refugees

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in”

All people of all faiths and none are welcome to the Day of Prayer in the Cathedral on Friday 25th September

Come for the whole day or for five minutes. come once or return throughout the day. During the day there will be three specific acts of worship.

8am –  Morning Prayer

11.15am –  Holy Communion

7.30pm – Service of Light and Commitment to Pray

There will be an opportunity to offer your own prayers throughout the day to be added to a prayer tree and to leave donations to the charities working to support and help refugees.
