The next concert at St Margaret’s, features the Nkrabea Dance Ensemble from Ghana, courtesy of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival. This will be a once in a life time, never to be forgotten experience.
Nkrabea Dance Ensemble is based in Accra, Ghana, and is made up of young talented Ghanaians. The group performs African Traditional Drumming & Dancing, Contemporary Dances, Folk Music, Acrobatics Display, Fire Eating, Stilt Dancing, Bamboo Climbing, etc.
The performance of the group is mostly dance-oriented and each dance represents an African celebration, often invoking colourful ancestral practices. The group has performed for visiting international dignitaries to Ghana, such Bill Clinton, as well as carrying out busy schedules in Ghana and internationally (you can see the group perform on You-Tube.
The event is at 7.30 pm on Tuesday July 28th. Admission is £10, children free, refreshments included. Proceeds partly to a Charity chosen by the group and partly to St Margaret’s Restoration Fund. Please come, as we are lucky that the Nkrabea Dance Ensemble are passing this way.
