Pilgrimage/ Retreat to Iona
The Isla Deveron Group of Churches has booked Bishop’s House on Iona for 22 – 26 October 2015. A few spaces are available and we invite you to join us.
The cost is approx £250 (non-refundable deposit of £50 is required). This includes full board, ferries (except the Iona Ferry). Travel will be additional, but car sharing will reduce costs.
Bishop’s House has been recently extended, rooms are comfortable with wash hand basins, tea and coffee making facilities and are either twin or single occupancy. Bathrooms are available throughout the house. The new lounge/sun lounge is considerably larger than before and there is a library and stair lift. A DVD player and screen, mobility scooter and a golf buggy are available.
The short break will include worship at Bishops House (optional), and on the Sunday at 1030 am there is a service in Iona Abbey. Spiritual Guidance can be arranged. There are many walks around Iona for varying degrees of ability. A series of Movies with discussions may be held. One can simply choose to be in Iona where people feel it is a ‘thin place, a touching place’.
