A Quiet Space in the Northwest
The Chapel of St Mary the Virgin is housed on the ground floor of 25 Market Street, Ullapool and above it is a flat.
The flat on the first floor, has until recently been made available as holiday accommodation on a not-for-profit basis. This arrangement has now ceased, and the flat is now available for use as a resource for the Diocese of Moray, Ross & Caithness, particularly for Clergy, Church-workers or Church groups who wish to make retreat, have quiet time or just ‘time out’.
There are three bedrooms (two twins, and one with a double and single bed), a sitting-room with TV, kitchen and bathroom. No charge is made for using this facility, although guests are asked to cover the costs of the electricity they use, laundry, and cleaning the flat after use (although this last charge can be waived if you wish to do your own cleaning before leaving).
For further details and availability, please contact: Mrs Gilly Court on 01854-612506, or email gilly.court@btopenworld.com
Priests using the flat are invited – if they wish – to preside and/or preach at the Eucharist whilst in residence. If this is the case, please contact the Rector, the Rev’d Canon Nicholas Court on: 01854-612506, or via email nicholas.court@btinternet.com

Courthill Chapel Chalet
Courthill Chapel is the parish church of Lochcarron and the surrounding area. It is situated in one of the most scenic parts of Wester Ross, with easy access to Torridon, Applecross, Plockton and Skye. The area abounds in places to eat, walking paths, and interesting places to visit.
The church lets a little chalet to clergy and ordinands of the Anglican Communion, but welcomes enquiries from other church people as well. We enjoy meeting people from the wider church, and will invite you to officiate or otherwise take part in our Sunday service if you would like.
The chalet provides basic accommodation for four in double and twin rooms. All facilities are provided, and the village of Lochcarron six miles away has all the usual services. We let from May to October, but other dates are possible by arrangement. We provide duvet covers and pillowcases; but please bring bottom sheet and towels. £190 p.w. first week, £170 p.w. for further weeks, electricity at cost.
