The Standing Committee acts as the Executive Committee of the Diocesan Synod between meetings of the Diocesan Synod. It implements Diocesan Synod decisions, and seeks to co-ordinate the work of the Diocesan Synod’s boards. The Standing Committee works with the Bishop in addressing strategic issues facing the Diocese as a whole.
